TikTok ‘framework’ deal overshadows U.S.-China trade talks

◇ Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said good progress has been made on technical details, with both sides close to reaching an agreement on TikTok.
◇ There were no major developments in trade discussions however, with U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer saying talks on this subject had been “deferred” to another time.
◇ Earlier Monday, China’s market regulator said in a statement that a preliminary investigation had found that Nvidia was in violation of the country’s anti-competition laws.
